We aim to create new opportunities for theoretical scientists to identify and rigorously explore the most basic and foundational questions and confusions about reality and possibility.
Our Vision
It’s no accident that our acronym is BITS. Our core competencies are built around the physics of information. And we see the rigorous analysis of information—both in concrete and abstract instances—as a powerful unifying approach to theoretical science.
Through our non-localized “unstitute”, we offer independent fellowships—fellows can work from anywhere and collaborate freely. We bring experts together via epic events around the world, to explore their most basic big questions.
